What to Expect

Big kids need a different playbook. This compact session zeroes in on motivation, boundaries and communication with 8- to 13-year-olds — the age where lectures stop working but connection matters more than ever.

We practice negotiation scripts for homework and screens, consequences that teach instead of punish, and the weekly check-in ritual that keeps you allied with your pre-teen instead of opposed.

What's Included

  • — 30-minute focused workshop, Wednesdays
  • — Homework and screen-time negotiation scripts
  • — Consequence planner that teaches accountability
  • — Weekly check-in ritual guide for pre-teens
  • — Small group: maximum 8 parents

What Changes Afterwards

  • — Homework gets done with fewer reminders and less friction
  • — Screen limits hold because your child helped set them
  • — Harder conversations start easier with the check-in ritual
"The negotiation script ended our nightly homework war in three days. I only wish we'd learned it years earlier."
— Tom H., father of a 10-year-old

Good to Know

Should my child attend?

No — this session is parents only, so you can speak freely and practice before trying things at home.

How is this different from the main workshop?

The main workshop covers foundations for ages 4–10. This edition goes deeper on independence, attitude and responsibility for ages 8–13.

What if my child is younger or older?

Under 8s fit the main Parenting Workshop; teens 13+ do best paired with Child Stress Management. Ask us and we'll match you.
